The best vacation we have ever had.
For a long time we thought about whether we should book hotels in Patagonia or whether we should be traveling independently with a four-wheel drive camper. In the end, we decided on the 4x4 pickup with a cab structure. And this one was a hit. Originally 3 weeks in Torres del Paine were planned, but had to be postponed due to the rainy weather. Due to our flexibility with the rented camper, we were able to simply reschedule and drove first to Ushuaia, then to El Chalten and finally to the Torres del Paine. Our vehicle took us everywhere safely and comfortably and we were always happy to come to our "home on wheels" in the evening. In addition to cooking facilities/shower/toilet, our camper always offered us the opportunity to charge cell phones and cameras due to solar power.In the meantime we have traveled to 60 countries around the world (hotels, campers, etc.) and can say that Patagonia with the four-wheel drive camper was the best vacation we have ever had. Thanks to the camper, we were always able to adapt our itinerary to the weather conditions and therefore always had great weather on the long hikes.A very special thanks goes to the wonderful Timo Böckle, who was always at our side with advice and action and with whom we were happy to spend more time. The border crossings were also easy due to Timo's good preparation (notarial documents for crossing the border of the car). It was such a great togetherness.
