In one month from Punta Arenas to Santiago
We drove from Punta Arenas to Santiago in a Patagonia Camper from March 27th to April 26th, 2019 - 31 unforgettable days. Sunshine, rain, everything was there. Patagonia is unique with its mountains, glaciers and lakes. The 31 days are a long time and yet you have the feeling that you have not seen all the beauties of the landscape by far. The highlights of the trip were the hikes in NP Torre del Paine, the Perrito Moreno glacier, the hikes to Fitz Roy and Cerro Torre and in NP Conguillio overlooking the volcano Llaima in a picturesque autumn color of the southern beech trees. This list is actually unfair, because almost every day came up with a highlight, and if there were nice meetings with Chileans and Argentinians, with whom one sat in the warm hot springs. In summary: A dreamlike patch of earth.
With our camper we were absolutely satisfied at all times - compact and with a lot of detailed knowledge expanded. It has everything you need for such a holiday, ample storage space, hot water in the shower, if you want to take a shower after a long hike. The kitchen equipment is functional and to all necessary kitchen appliances is thought - even tea towels for the dishes. A comparable equipment cannot be found at every landlord for a camper.
The perfectly adequate motorized basic vehicle from VW convinced by robustness, reliability and completely sufficient comfort. So sentimental feeling came over us when we had to say goodbye to our camper after these 31 days.
We liked Chile and Argentina so much that we really want to come back. The freedom of a camper have convinced us. That's why again with a camper from Holiday Rent.
