9 weeks trip by camper from Santiago to Ushuaia and back
During 2018 we made a 9 weeks trip with a 4WD camper from Holiday Rent from Santiago to Ushuaia and back again. What a beautiful country, we especially loved to travel in the Andes mountains. We travelled from Santiago via Bariloche to the coast of Argentina, where we saw for the first time the penguins. From there further on to Ushuaia in the deep South. All the national parks in Chile and Argentina are worth to visit and often you can stay there for the night. The glaciers, especially the Perito Moreno, are beautiful. Also unforgettable are the many condors we saw in the sky. On your way back we followed the 'Carretera Austral', the famous road in Chile.
The car was just 1 year old, the camper part a bit older, but a very good 4WD vehicle to make this journey with. The support of the staff of Holiday Rent is outstanding. And we will for sure recommend this company to everyone. In 2020 we plan our next trip to the North of Chili/Argentina and of course we will rent again a camper of Holiday Rent. Very nice is also that it is possible to camp for the night on the grounds of the Holiday Rent site in Santiago.
Note for future travelers: take a sleeping bag with you, the nights high in the mountains are cold.
